Elsewhere, delays are likely on southern lines of Auckland's train network this afternoon following an incident near Takanini.
Auckland Transport thanked its followers on Twitter for understanding the situation.
"Line clearance has been received. Please continue to expect some disruption across the Southern line as normal service returns," AT said.
Meanwhile, a police spokeswoman told the Herald there had been concerns for the welfare of a person near Takanini Train Station.
"This person has been located, and we are ensuring they are being cared for. The trains have resumed service," they said.
Meanwhile, a crash is blocking the left northbound lane of State Highway 1 near Johnsonville, Wellington.
NZ Transport Agency reported the incident took place north of the Johnsonville off-ramp around 3.35pm and advised motorists to expect delays.
And all lanes on Auckland's Southern Motorway have reopened following a car fire.
The burning vehicle was found on the northbound side of the motorway just after the Drury interchange.
NZTA reports motorists will experience congestion while travelling through the area.
