One injured after Christchurch crash involving vehicle and cyclist, road closed

One person has been seriously injured and a road closed in Christchurch after a crash involving a cyclist and a vehicle.

The incident occurred on Kerrs Rd, Linwood, near the intersection with Woodham Rd.

Emergency services rushed to the scene about 4pm.

“Kerrs Rd, Linwood, is currently closed following a crash,” said a police spokesperson.

Police confirmed the crash involved a vehicle and a cyclist.

“One person has been seriously injured,” they said.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays.
