One person has been seriously injured after a truck and crash collided on State Highway 1 at the Peka Peka Rd intersection, blocking the road.
The crash happened about 5.15pm.
The highway has been closed at Peka Peka, just south of the road to Peka Peka Beach, between Waikanae and
Te Horo.
Emergency services are at the scene and southbound traffic is being diverted at Peka Peka Rd.
Police said motorists travelling on the highway should expect delays.
