A person has died and a main highway is blocked after a single vehicle crash near Kawerau, in the Bay of Plenty.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Kawerau Rd West/State Highway 34 about 10.30am, police said in a statement.
One person has died and another has minor
injuries.
The Rotorua end of State Highway 34 is closed and traffic is being diverted.
