One dead, one critical in Manawatu crash

One person has died after a car and truck collided on State Highway 3 in Manawatu this evening.

Another person is critically injured and has been transported to Palmerston North Hospital.

Police and ambulance are at the intersection of Rangitikei Line and Oroua Rd.

Motorists are urged to keep clear of the crash site and currently south-bound traffic is being diverted down Awahuri Rd.
