One person has died after a car collided with a power pole in Ashburton this morning.
Police said a vehicle collided with a power pole on Lismore Mayfield Rd about 7.15am.
The sole occupant of the vehicle, a 50-year-old man, died at the scene.
Police were working to locate his
next-of-kin.
The Serious Crash Unit has been notified and cordons remained in place.
