One person is dead following a crash on State Highway Two, south of Taneatua in the eastern Bay of Plenty.
The smash, just after midday, involved a light truck and a motorcycle. The road is currently closed to traffic.
In south Taranaki, the driver of a vehicle was
killed in a collision with a milk tanker on State Highway Three late last night.
It happened at Whareroa near Hawera.
Police say the driver of the vehicle was a male.
The tanker driver received ambulance treatment for moderate injuries.
