One dead after serious motorcycle crash in Auckland

A person has died after a motorcycle crash in east Auckland.

Police rushed to the intersection of Stancombe Rd and Kestev Drive in Flat Bush shortly before 6am.

Police said the rider of the motorcycle died at the scene after coming off their bike.

Stancombe Rd is now closed from Chapel Rd to Erica Rd and diversions are in place.

There were also reports of another crash in east Auckland, outside Pakuranga Plaza.

Auckland Transport warned of congestion on Pakuranga Rd backed up to Bucklands Beach Rd.
