One dead after Otago motorcycle crash

A person has died after a motorcycle crash north of Palmerston, Otago, this afternoon.

Police were alerted to the crash at the intersection of Horse Range Rd and Trotters Gorge Rd at 2.50pm.

Inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are under way, said police.

Palmerston is about 50km north of Dunedin.
