One person has died following a house fire in Ōpōtiki overnight.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman Paul Radden said FENZ received multiple phone calls about a house fire on Richard St around 10.10pm.
He said four crews attended the incident and the single-level private dwelling was well involved on
arrival.
One person has been confirmed to have died, Radden said.
