Leading organic vineyard launches new website and wine club.
Odyssey Wines has been a fixture on New Zealand's premium wine circuit since the early 1990s under the guidance of owner Rebecca Salmond, a New Zealand native with international wine making experience and education. In recent years the brand, with vineyards in Marlborough and a BioGro organic certification, has taken
powerful strides to ensure it continues to not only shine in New Zealand, but procure a loyal following abroad.
Odyssey Wines set out to create a premium brand with a strong online presence, and to use this tool to showcase to the world the brand's ethos and personality.
Odyssey Wines worked with local creative communications company Bleachedblack to develop an online presence to showcase Odyssey Wines and its staff, ensuring a balance between the personal and the professional for everyone from wine critics to everyday households looking for food and wine inspiration. Its Instagram and Facebook pages regularly feature the vineyard dogs, family holidays, gallery openings and of course the wine, often paired with delicious, healthy food straight from their own kitchens.
Continuing with the classic friendly kiwi ethos, the Odyssey Wines blog has become a treasure trove information for wine and food lovers. The blog features a wide range of interviews by Salmond with beekeepers through to restauranteurs, includes chefs, friends and the retail stores that work with Odyssey, discussing everything from wine pairings, their favourite things to eat and drink, and how to cook at home with wine. It also has some handy articles for readers with a penchant for good wine; Salmond and her team talk about tips, tricks, seasonal wine pairings and tastings and details on storage and ageing. Helping to create the full online package, Odyssey Wines' new website not only features the blog section but also an easy-to-use online store, complete with perks for the loyal shoppers. The store sells all of Odyssey Wines ranges from the standard range, to the premium Iliad range, limited releases and special bottles, as well as offering a special Wine Club membership, where people can sign up and receive 6 or 12 bottles delivered twice a year at a special members-only discount, a smart way to buy quality organic wine.
