New Zealanders will again be first to get a peek at the book likely to be the most eagerly awaited of the year, the next Harry Potter.
Author J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will hit bookshelves around the world at exactly 11am on June 21, meaning
it will go on sale in New Zealand and Australia first.
This fifth book in the series is one chapter longer than the previous, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which broke sales records around the world.
The children's books manager at Whitcoulls, Jenni Keestra, said the firm had yet to decide how many copies to order.
"But the last one sold thousands upon thousands so it will be fairly substantial."
