Four members of the Royal New Zealand Air Force have arrived in Afghanistan as part of a British Royal Air Force air movements unit.
The New Zealand air load team joined three Army compatriots who arrived last week as part of the multinational peacekeeping force.
Six more Royal NZ Air
Force members in Britain are waiting to join an RAF forward mounting base in Afghanistan.
Last month, 13 New Zealanders joined the peacekeeping force, and two RNZAF Hercules went to Afghanistan in December.
Special Air Service troops are there as well, renovating buildings on the outskirts of Kabul, according to a German newspaper.
The Government will not say what they are doing.
