New Year's Eve has got off to a disastrous start to two people who were injured in a dune buggy crash in Northland this evening.
The crash was reported shortly before 6.30pm at Te Tii, on the Purerua Peninsula, about 20km from Kerikeri.
Northern Fire Service communication shift manager Jaron
Phillips said the dune buggy flipped, resulting in two people receiving moderate injuries.
Emergency services from Kerikeri attended the crash.
