First look at the scene of Wednesday's tragic double fatal shooting just outside Whangarei.
Police have confirmed they have recovered human remains from the scene of yesterday's fatal double-shooting on Mt Tiger Road, Whangarei.
Police said the remains are badly burnt and formal identification will take some time.
Based on the circumstances, Police believe the remains belong to Quinn Patterson who is alleged tohave shot and killed Wendy Campbell and Natanya Campbell and of having injured a third person.

Dozens of Wendy and Natanya Campbell's family members have gathered at the scene of yesterday's triple shooting to say prayers and grieve together.
It is estimated about 70-100 people gathered at the driveway of Mt Tiger Rd property just after 4pm as police prepared to remove the bodies of the mother and daughter.
A Herald reporter at the scene said it was extremely emotional time with much wailing, tears, and heartbreak. Family members embraced each other as the bodies were driven away.
Police forensic teams have continue to work at the scene today. However, it is unclear if the shooter Quinn Patterson's body has been found in the burnt out house or if so when it will be removed.

It's the first full view of the rural property near Whangarei.
Police believe their killer, Quinn Patterson, who lived at the property, was killed by a police bullet — or in the fire that destroyed the house.
The aerial footage shot by the Herald this morning shows smoke still rising from the remains of the house destroyed by fire and the ongoing presence of emergency services at the Whareora scene.
There's a blue tent belonging to police investigators and a red one set up by their counterparts in the Fire Service.
Armed police guarding the scene of the double homicide can also be seen in the footage, filmed early this morning.
Another building on the property, which appears to be a work shed or sleep out, has seemingly escaped the fire which burned out of control due to the threat the gunman posed to firefighters.
The home is situated on a lifestyle block and surrounded by farmland and dense bush.
