Police are hunting Walter Reid Ngaau who has warrant to arrest for murder.
Detective Inspector Dene Begbie said Ngaau was wanted in relation to Operation Bolt - the investigation into the murder of John Henry Harris in October 2016.
Harris, also known as John Boy, was a Tribesmen Motorcycle Clubmember.
Nicky Bryan Dodd, 41, from Raumanga, appeared in Whangarei District Court yesterday, and is jointly charged with two other men with the murder of Harris.
Police say one of the other men is in custody on unrelated matters and will be spoken to about the murder, and officers are actively seeking Ngaau.
Ngaau, 54, is a patched Black Power member and has connections to the Whangarei and Auckland areas.
"We want to remind anyone who may be assisting Walter to evade police that this is a criminal offence and we will be taking this type of behaviour very seriously," Begbie said.
"Walter should not be approached.
"If you know where he is, or if he is sighted, then please call 111 immediately."
