Nine taken to hospital after van rolls on SH63

Nine people have been taken to Wairau Hospital after a van rolled on State Highway 63 near Blenheim.

The van was one of two vehicles travelling together when police say it left the road, toppled over and slid eight metres, ending upside down in a ditch.

A 24-year-old man suffered a serious back injury and head lacerations. Two other men have moderate injuries and the remaining six have minor abrasions and lacerations.
