Petrol prices up at all major oil companies

All four of New Zealand's major oil companies have now increased prices for petrol and diesel in line with price hikes announced by Caltex yesterday.

Caltex, BP and Shell have raised the price of 91-octane petrol by nine cents a litre, bring the cost to approximately $1.13 a litre in major centres.

Diesel in major centres now costs approximately 81 cents a litre, an increase of 3 cents a litre.

Mobil says it will increase prices too - probably today.
Yesterday, Caltex said the prices rises were due to a rapid increase in the cost of refined products last month.
