Soccer: Germany tipped for World Cup seeding

Germany are set to be given a World Cup seeding ahead of England - even if Sven-Goran Eriksson's side qualify for next year's finals ahead of them, says the Sunday Telegraph.

The newspaper said Germany's superior record in international tournaments would be taken into account when the seedings for the December 1 draw were announced.

The paper said champions France and co-hosts Japan and South Korea would definitely be seeded, and Italy and Argentina were also virtually guaranteed a seeding, as were Brazil and Germany if they qualified.
