Sima Urale's short film Still Life - the sad and touching story of an elderly couple's love - has won the top prize at the Montreal Film Festival.
Sima Urale said she was "overwhelmed" at the accolade - the Montreal festival ranked as one of the world's top 10, and was the largest publicly attended film festival in the Western world. In 1994, Lee Tamahori's Once Were Warriors took out four awards at Montreal.
