A Tātau Kōrero: Arish Naresh

Arish Naresh came to Tūranganui-a-Kiwa six years ago from Fiji after the last coup on the island. He studied as a dentist and has worked in the community and adapted to the way of life here. Before arriving in Tūranganui-a-Kiwa, Arish was warned against coming to the region due to the perceptions of many that “you would get mugged getting off the plane”. Arish says that was far from the truth and shares his experiences of living in Tūranganui-a-Kiwa, as well as his Indian culture.
