England goalkeeper David James is likely to miss the rest of the World Cup soccer qualifying campaign after tearing knee ligaments in Thursday morning's (NZT) 0-2 loss to the Netherlands.
James ruptured posterior cruciate ligaments when he collided with England team-mate Martin Keown, and is now expected to miss England's qualifiers against Germany on September 1, Albania on September 5 and Greece on October 6.
Arsenal's David Seaman, who did not play against the Netherlands, is still England's No 1 goalkeeper.
