Man held over Waitakere death

Police have arrested a 21-year-old Henderson man and charged him with the murder of transient Justin Dyne.

Mr Dyne's decomposing body was found off a track in the Waitakere Ranges on September 12, sparking a three-month police homicide investigation.

The 25-year-old transient had been living at the Tui Glen motor camp in Henderson.

He is thought to have been killed on July 25 but no-one reported him missing.

The man was arrested this afternoon and was due to appear in the Henderson District Court charged with murder.
