Almost three-quarters of the students who sat bursary exams at St Cuthbert's College last year received A bursaries, making it one of the country's best-performing schools.
The Epsom private girls school also received the highest proportion of scholarships of any school, followed by Auckland Grammar School and Rangi Ruru Girls' College, in Christchurch.
St Cuthbert's also tied with St Kentigern College for the highest proportion of A grades in School Certificate (34.4 per cent), followed by Diocesan School for Girls (30 per cent).
The Senior College of New Zealand had the second highest proportion of A bursaries (70.3 per cent), followed by Auckland Grammar School (62.5 per cent).
