A multi-vehicle crash has been cleared after blocking a lane on Auckland's Upper Harbour Highway.
The eastbound lanes on State Highway 18 were blocked between Trig Rd and Brigham Creek Interchange, the NZ Transport Agency said.
Drivers were warned to pass with care and expect delays.
An earlier truck breakdown on Auckland's Southern Motorway has caused heavy congestion this morning, with delays stretching from East Tamaki to Greenlane.
The truck broke down just after 6am, blocking the right lane citybound on State Highway 1 just before the Greenlane offramp, NZTA said.
A tow truck was ordered and the lane was cleared just after 7am.
However traffic remains very heavy from East Tamaki Rd to Greenlane, with motorists asked to consider using SH20/SH16 as an alternative route north.
