She is an overstayer and is worried she could lose her unborn child if Immigration New Zealand carries out its threat to deport her.

A mother of two NZ citizen children, Chinese national Amy Xuemei Mao, 38, is experiencing a complicated pregnancy and has had a history two previous miscarriages.

INZ issued a warning in a letter dated May 16 that she was liable to be taken into custody and deported without further notice. It gave her a two-week deadline to contact them, which has now passed.
