A truck which rolled, blocking two northbound lanes on the Northern Motorway in Auckland, causing traffic to back up for nearly 20km, has now been cleared.
But several other crashes are causing elsewhere on the city's motorway network.
The truck crash occurred just before the Tristram Rd off-ramp about 4.40pm.
Traffic slowed to a crawl, creating long queues as the congestion stretched between Spaghetti Junction in the city and Greville Rd.
The traffic was particularly heavy after the Auckland Harbour Bridge in Northcote with NZTA advising motorists to avoid the area or pass the incident with care and be prepared for "significant delays".

The truck has now been cleared of lanes and traffic is easing between Spaghetti Junction and Greville Rd.
However a crash is blocking the right west-bound lane on the North Western Motorway, causing delays to Bond St.
And south-bound traffic is slow between Newmarket and Greenlane following a crash that has now been cleared just after the Greenlane on-ramp.
