Child with serious burns airlifted to hospital from Taranaki

A child has been airlifted to hospital in a serious condition after suffering burns.
Emergency services rushed to the incident on Caesar St, in Stratford, about 7.47am.
A St John Ambulance spokeswoman said the child was in a serious condition.
Taranaki Rescue Helicopter was firstly tasked to take the child
to Waikato Hospital but then went on to Middlemore Hospital, she said.
Two ambulances, two fire engines and a police car attended the incident.
