Ten elderly patients are being treated for smoke inhalation due to a possible fire at an Auckland rest home.
Three fire engines were sent to the Gulf Views Rest Home in Howick, after an automatic fire alarm was triggered.
A fire and emergency spokesperson says the fire was presumed to
be extinguished, but they attended the scene as a precaution.
An ambulance was also dispatched.
