Pedestrian suffers serious injuries following collision with a car in Epsom

Manukau Rd in Epsom has been reopened to the public after emergency services temporarily closed a section of the road.
A pedestrian was reportedly struck by another vehicle around 4.50pm and the person was said to have sustained serious injuries.
"The crash occurred at 4.50pm and initial indications are that
a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle," a police statement said.
"The pedestrian is reported to have sustained serious injuries. Diversions are in place to allow the Serious Crash Unit to examine the crash scene."
Auckland Transport first tweeted about the incident at 5.35pm, reporting about the closure, however, at 5.45pm AT said the road had reopened.
