Wellington police are investigating after a woman was found seriously injured in the central city.
Police and ambulance were called to Swan Lane just off Cuba St around 10pm last night.
A spokesperson said a female was found with serious head injuries.
Officers are working to determine what happened.
Awitness passing the scene last night said police had cordoned off the car park.
