One person seriously injured after car and bus crash in Queen Street, Auckland

The intersection of Queen St and Victoria St was blocked after the crash which happened just before 7.50pm.

One person was seriously injured after a car and bus crashed on Queen Street on Friday night, causing major traffic disruption.

The intersection of Queen St and Victoria St was blocked after the head-on collision which happened just before 7.50pm.

Police said the driver of the car was seriously injured and is in hospital.

The road was cleared by 9.45pm but police warned of delays.

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
