Two people have been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a car hit a power pole in South Canterbury early on Saturday morning.
Police were called to the incident on Oxford Crossing Rd in Temuka at 6.52am.
"The crash involved one vehicle, which has struck a power pole," a
police spokeswoman said.
"Two people from the vehicle have been taken to hospital with serious injuries."
