People have been flown by rescue helicopter to Timaru Hospital after a car rolled near Aoraki Mt Cook late this afternoon.
A police spokeswoman said emergency services were alerted at 4.45pm to the crash on Mt Cook Rd at Ben Ohau.
Two rescue helicopters - one from Christchurch and another
from Dunedin - were sent and flew an unknown number of people to Timaru Hospital.
The condition of those flown to hospital was not immediately known.
