The four offenders were seen running under the rail subway onto Cambridge Tce and got into an awaiting white four-door saloon police think may have been driven by a fifth person.
They were last seen travelling north on Cambridge Tce. .
The victims of the robbery are extremely traumatised and are eager for the men responsible to be apprehended, police said.

Meanwhile, police are hunting a man who allegedly threatened a shopkeeper and robbed a South Island dairy on December 29.
Police say the man went into On the Spot dairy on Maxwell Rd, Blenheim about 7am, threatened the shopkeeper, took the till and ran away.
