A woman has been winched to safety after falling into a creek bed in Lower Hutt.
She had fallen some distance into steep, difficult terrain.
Life Flight and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter were called to the Percy Scenic Reserve around 5.30pm yesterday.
Fire crews and Wellington Free Ambulance paramedics moved the woman to a more suitable area, and a medic was winched 40m to the creek bed to stabilise her.
