A man was seriously injured in a hit-and-run on East St. Image / Google Maps
A man was seriously injured in a hit-and-run in Wairarapa last night.
Sergeant Tim Crum said the 19-year-old was crossing East St in Greytown near the rear entrance of the Greytown Hotel when he was hit by a car going north about 11pm.
The car did not stop.
The victim'stwo friends had crossed the road not long before him so went to his aid straight away and called police.
The man is in the High Dependency Unit at Masterton Hospital.
