A man was found dead in South Canterbury on Tuesday night.
The 45-year-old was found by Opihi River, near Fairlie about 10.30pm.
The death is being treated as unexplained and a post mortem examination will be done this morning.
Detective Senior Sergeant Richard Quested said the death was being treated
as suspicious, Fairfax reported.
