Fire crews have contained at a large industrial fire in East Tamaki.
Emergency decontamination is being set up for firefighters, and a Hazmat team is on site.
Nineteen fire engines were called to the fire, in a 20cu m polyurethane pit inside a storage building at a Waste Management plant in Neales Rd.
Northern Communications shift manager Jaron Phillips said two of 40 fire crew on the scene had been decontaminated shortly before 3pm.
He was not aware of any injuries and said the operation was now being scaled down.
The building, used for chemical storage, has been evacuated while firefighters worked to contain the fire.
