A pedestrian has been hit by a car in one of a spate of rush-hour crashes on Auckland roads this morning.
The person was hit by a vehicle at the busy New North and Blockhouse Bay Rds intersection before 7am and taken to hospital in a moderate condition.
Auckland Transport tweeted delays in the area are now easing.
Meanwhile, traffic is banked up heading to the airport after a breakdown on the link road from the Southwestern Motorway.
The broken-down vehicle has been pushed to the side but the New Zealand Transport Agency warns of long queues to the airport.
On the Southern Motorway, traffic is crawling past a crash at Greenlane.
The vehicles have been shifted off the road but motorists are warned to leave early for work to allow for the slow-moving queues.
