Nearly 1400 homes are without power in northwest Auckland where a car has taken out a power pole.
The accident happened on Anderson Rd, near Kaukapakapa just before 3pm.
The single car crash has left one person in a serious condition and three others in moderate conditions.
Fire and Emergency
says one person who was trapped inside the vehicle has now been freed by fire crews.
Vector says there is an emergency shutdown in the area so urgent repairs can be carried out.
