Motorists have been asked to avoid a Tauranga bridge after a ute crashed into a concrete barrier this morning.
Police were called to the crash on Te Awanui Dr around 11.25am today.
The driver is out of the vehicle and has not required ambulance assistance.
A Police spokesperson said thecrash has caused traffic to back-up on the bridge and motorists are asked to avoid the area while police clear the scene.
"We ask that motorists be patient as this may take some time."
