Police say a report of a skydiver in trouble west of Auckland is a false alarm.

SkyDive Auckland have said reports of an incident are incorrect.

A Fire Service spokeswoman said everyone jumping from the aircraft was accounted for.

It appeared the skydiver had cut away from their chute and landed safely.
