A Christchurch man charged with a raft of rape and violence offences brought his appearance to a premature end at Christchurch District Court this morning.
Luke James Henry, 31, faces 13 charges, including unlawfully detaining a woman, three charges of rape, two of sexual violation, assault, kidnap, and assault with intent to injure.
Henry allegedly kidnapped a woman who he then assaulted and raped over the course of a weekend.
Appearing in court today by audio visual link, Henry refused to plead to the charges, telling the court he hadn't seen the disclosure of evidence.
He then told the judge not to ask him "stupid questions", and brought proceedings to a halt.
