A man was taken to hospital after being beaten up with a baseball bat outside a South Island cemetery.
A man and woman have been arrested and charged after the attack that occured in Karoro, Greymouth around 1pm today.
The victim, who was hit around the head, was taken to
hospital for assessment. His serious injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
A man was charged with assault with a weapon and a woman was charged with assault.
Both are due to appear before Greymouth District Court next week.
