The search for a missing New Zealand fisherman in Tasmania will continue today, more than two weeks after he and three others were reported missing.

Police have identified three of the four bodies of recreational fishermen who went missing in chilly waters off Hobart on July 31.

Magnus Julian Ritter, 34, and Luke William Davies, 32, were recovered from waters near Sloping Main on August 1, and Aleksandar Drobnjak, 26, was identified yesterday after DNA testing.

The 35-year-old missing New Zealander has not yet been named.

A police vessel equipped with a sonar scan searched waters on Monday, and will resume searching on Tuesday.

The foursome, three from Hobart and one from New Zealand, launched their 5m boat on the morning of July 31 from Cremorne, southeast of the city.

One of their girlfriends raised the alarm when they failed to return as planned six hours later.
