An Armed Offenders Squad callout that left a Levin school in lockdown is over.
Police were called to a "firearms incident" in the Horowhenua town about 1pm.
They now say it's resolved and officers are talking to "a number of people" as investigations continue.
Police also scotched rumours that anybody
was taken hostage.
The cordon set up around Liverpool and Balmoral Sts has been lifted and nearby Taitoko School is no longer in lockdown.
