A driver has walked away uninjured after the car they were driving in crashed into a tree in west Auckland this afternoon.
The crash happened on Scenic Drive, in Titirangi, around 1.25pm, Senior Sergeant Chris Money of the police northern communications centre said.
The driver was uninjured.
The car was in an unsafe location, and was in the process of being towed.
Traffic was being diverted down Konini Rd in the meantime, he said.
It was not yet known what had caused the crash, he said, but warned drivers to take care on the roads due to the wet weather.
"The roads are pretty slippery after such a dry spell," he said, adding that motorists should "drive to the conditions".
