Former Prime Minister Sir Robert Muldoon's rail pass is for sale on Trade Me.
Touted as a piece of memorabilia "for the rail enthusiast who has everything", the gold railway pass expired in 1987 and is personally signed and embossed with "Rt Hon Sir R Muldoon".
The auction has a starting bid of $40, and includes a signed portrait of Sir Robert and a letter from his wife, Thea.
The seller, "desbookman", promises the authenticity of the rail pass and is selling more historical memorabilia, including Henry Ford's hair.
Sir Robert was Prime Minister between 1975 and 1984 and led the country in major changes to the economy. He died in 1992.
