A man's body has been found in the water off the coast north of Thames.
Police are recovering the body which was found submerged on the rocks on Thames Coast Rd between Waikawau Valley Rd and Te Mata Creek Rd.
A Waikato police spokesman said it appeared the man had
been fishing but it was not clear how he came to be in the water.
Police at the scene are removing his body from the water and will now work to identify him and inform his family.
